Has your company heard about Free Geek? To support our green initiatives, Cadet began using “Free Geek” services two years ago. Free Geek is a Non-Profit organization that works with individuals and corporations in the endeavor to recycle technology and provide access to technology in exchange for community service.
Free Greek recycles and refurbishes used computers and technology (there is small fee for monitors), and will erase any stored data on your hard drive using Government standards, at no charge. Not only does this reduce waste, it saves you time and money.
Their reuse program grants schools and charitable organizations used computers. Volunteers have the ability to receive job skills training and receive a refurbished computer in exchange for their service. For more information, visit http://www.freegeek.org
