HAVE YOU SEEN THIS?

HAE YOU SEEN THIS

Unless you never turn on your television, you’ve probably seen advertisements for the “Snuggie”.  The Snuggie is basically a fleece blanket with sleeves, so “you can stay warm and still have the freedom to use your hands.”  Even though I am personally embarrassed just watching the actors wearing these to a sporting event (has anyone ever heard of a coat?), you can’t argue with success: They claim millions have been sold since the product inception.  And just last month, the parent company announced a version for dogs. (Honest).

You may have also seen the newspaper and magazine advertisements for the infamous “Amish” fireplaces.  This is an old idea with a new marketing twist:  an electric fireplace with surround that has a wood mantle made in Amish country.

Whether or not you agree with the advertising methods or claims, both of these products have one thing in common: they are a basic solution to an age old problem: delivering warmth and comfort where we are, when we want it. This zonal heating message has taken on a national resurgence. These days, few of us want to heat a whole house, when we really only need to heat a small area where we are living – watching television, reading, or working/socializing online.  Cadet has been creating solutions to this problem for over 50 years: it’s all about zonal comfort.  Cadet products are room by room solutions, each controlled by their own thermostat so you have more flexibility and control.

Our products may not come in a wide variety of prints and colors, and the trim isn’t created by the Amish.  But they are assembled right here in the USA, by a team of workers who love what they do.  And, they can be permanently, economically, and safely installed to add value to your home as a “hybrid” heating method that both improves your comfort and reduces your heating bills.

I am pleased to see these “new” products touting a message that Cadet has delivered for years: turn your thermostat down, and use zonal heating to stay warm only where you really need it.

And who knows, we may just launch line of pet heaters in lavender and blue.
