Hybrid Heating
Hybrid home heating is similar to hybrid fuel cars that use both electricity and gas. Selective room placement of Cadet heaters to supplement a central heating system can conserve energy and keep the home more comfortable. The main thermostat of the central system is turned to a much lower setting, and the “spot” zonal heating is turned up in highly used areas.
Example: A person works from home and supplements their home
office with a Cadet heater, maintaining a 69% comfort level, and keeps
all other rooms at 60° during an 8 hour period.
ENERGY CONSUMPTION SAVINGS= 10,400 BTUs each 8 hour period
Hybrid Home Heating Example
Centrally heated home, with electric zonal heat added to bathroom,
office, and living room.
